2018 Peugeot Boxer — All Keys Lost, Programmed On Site
A customer in Darton, Barnsley had lost all keys to their 2018 Peugeot Boxer van. No working keys remained — not a spare, not a fob, nothing. Without a key the van was completely immobilised. Towing it to a Peugeot dealer would have meant days of waiting and a bill well over £400 plus VAT.
Aaron attended the location and used the Autel IM508 to programme 2 new keys directly to the van’s ECU. Both keys were cut and coded on site. The customer did not need to tow the vehicle, wait for parts, or book a dealer appointment. The van was back on the road the same day.
Why this job matters: All-keys-lost on a van is one of the most stressful situations a tradesperson can face. The Peugeot Boxer’s BSI system requires a specific programming procedure that many locksmiths cannot complete. Aaron carries the Autel IM508 specifically because it handles jobs like this. Audi A5 — All Keys Lost, Encrypted BCM2 Bench Programming
All keys lost on an Audi A5 in Rotherham. The customer had no working keys at all. The Audi A5 uses a BCM2 (Body Control Module) with encryption — a system that requires specialist bench programming to add new keys. This is a job that most auto locksmiths in South Yorkshire decline because they simply don’t carry the right equipment.
Aaron used the Xhorse Key Tool Plus to work directly on the BCM2 module — a process that bypasses the standard OBD port and programmes the module at hardware level. This is the correct method for encrypted Audi systems. A new key was registered to the vehicle and the car was fully secured. See our car key programming service and lost car keys service for more detail on how Aaron handles complex jobs.
Why this is a specialist job: BCM2 encryption on Audi, Volkswagen and SEAT vehicles means standard OBD key programming does not work. Bench programming requires direct hardware access to the module. Aaron carries the Xhorse Key Tool Plus for jobs like this — specialist equipment used by Audi-trained technicians. See Aaron’s Audi specialist page for more.

Why Aaron Documents
Every Job
Most auto locksmith websites show a generic “we’ve helped thousands of customers” message with no supporting evidence. AH Auto Keys does the opposite — every job documented here is a real callout with a real vehicle, a real location and a real outcome.
This matters for two reasons. First, it proves Aaron’s capability on complex jobs that many locksmiths decline — encrypted modules, all-keys-lost on modern vehicles, van ECU programming. Second, it helps South Yorkshire drivers understand exactly what to expect when they call — the equipment used, the process followed, and the typical outcome.
The Auto Locksmith Association recommends that specialist auto locksmiths demonstrate their capability through documented case work. This page is that demonstration — updated as new jobs are completed.
